Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: A Path to Self-Discovery

Psychodynamic psychotherapy helps you understand how your past experiences, unconscious thoughts, and deep-rooted emotions influence your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours at present. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts. By exploring your relationships, memories, and recurring patterns, we can uncover what may be holding you back. 


I am new to therapy. What to expect?


In the beginning, we will focus on an in-depth assessment to understand the challenges you are facing and begin to map out a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

After the initial assessment, therapy sessions will follow a flexible structure. You will have space for open-ended conversations where deeper themes can emerge naturally. Over time, this allows us to uncover the underlying patterns that shape your behaviour, emotions, and experiences.


 It is important to note that the therapeutic process can take time as it involves building a strong therapeutic relationship and delving into deep-seated issues.

Isadora Boni, RP

Isadora Boni is a registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT). She completed her training with the Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Isadora has over nine years of experience working in people-centered positions across different sectors, including healthcare, immigration, and social services. 


Her clinical style is characterized by creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, and the ability to effectively challenge clients.
